ABSTRACT
The computations involved in vision are so expensive that little thought has been given to integrating visual computations with visual behaviours in realtime. However, recent hardware advances such as pipeline computer architectures are making this integration possible. Preliminary results suggest that the combination is very advantageous. Perhaps unexpectedly, visual computation is less expensive when considered in the larger context of behaviour.
