Cognimatics is a recently founded company with its roots at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Lund University, Sweden. Behind the company is a group
of researchers with more than ten years of experience from the research fields of computer vision and cognitive vision.
Cognimatics develops and licenses software for cognitive vision primarily for mobile phones and PDAs equipped with a camera.

Cognitive vision is a field of research, where the aim is to teach computers to interpret images in an intelligent way like humans do. This involves detecting people
in pictures, finding objects in pictures, or even the capability of detecting certain events in image sequences.
