Cognitive Robotics

Cognitive Robotics Resources on the IEEE Robotics and Automation Technical Committee for Cognitive Robotics - CoRo website.

AICoR - The euRobotics Topic Group on Artificial Intelligence and Cognition in Robotics.

SPARC ROCKeu2 Coordination Activities.

ERF2016 SPARC Workshop on Cognitive Robotics. A collection of resources to support the European Robotics Forum 2016.

A draft syllabus for my course on Cognitive Robotics.

Teaching

Here are some additional material to supplement the courses on my main website. The first two are just a collection of resources for existing courses while the second two - Cognitive Robotics and Data Structures and Algorithms for Engineers - are new courses that I will be teaching in Spring 2017 at Carnegie Mellon University in Rwanda. Once these are complete, I will migrate the material to the main website.

Research

The CINDY Cognitive Architecture. CINDY stands for Circular Network Dynamics. It is in its early state of development and is based on many other cognitive architectures, especially the iCub cognitive architecture which was never fully realized. The long-term goal is to design and implement an emergent artificial cognitive system that builds on the principles of growth and development through circular causality, drawing on many of the principles of the fields of Enaction, Systems Dynamics, and Second-order Cybernetics.
